BIOGRAPHY
Alba Carmona is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive and versatile voices in contemporary Spanish music. Trained in flamenco singing at Barcelona’s ESMUC, where she became the first graduate to earn a higher degree in flamenco vocals, she has spent more than two decades building a unique artistic path that bridges flamenco, traditional music, jazz, and singer-songwriter traditions.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated with renowned artists and creators including Carlos Saura, Perico Sambeat, Chano Domínguez, Chicuelo, and Mauricio Sotelo. She also served as lead vocalist of the acclaimed group Las Migas, touring extensively across Europe and the Americas before launching her successful solo career.
Her personal projects reflect an ongoing exploration of traditional song and oral heritage through a contemporary lens. Her albums Alba Carmona (2018), Cantora (2023), and Ofrenda (2025)—created in collaboration with flamenco guitarist Jesús Guerrero—have established her as an artist of remarkable depth, sensitivity, and expressive freedom.
