SUNBREAK
VIDÉOS
With Sunbreak, Benjamin Deschamps ventures into shifting landscapes, where familiar paths give way to new horizons. At the crossroads of jazz, indie rock and folk, his compositions unfold like instrumental songs, driven by strong, memorable melodies. In the spirit of Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band, the sextet creates a richly contrasted musical world, where difficult choices and paths left behind meet the promise of renewal, lightness and the light that breaks through after the storm.
Moving fluidly between composition and improvisation, each piece reveals a different landscape, inviting listeners to imagine their own journey.
The sextet features Benjamin Deschamps alongside Philippe Poirier on tenor saxophone, Nicolas Ferron on guitar, Jonathan Cayer on piano and Rhodes, Rémi-Jean Leblanc on double bass, and Alain Bourgeois on drums.

Driven by a strong creative freedom, Usual Suspects unfolds a bold sonic landscape where modern jazz, tradition, free jazz, and unexpected influences intersect.
