The pianist ” To remember: The pianist Anne-Marie Dubois, a striking virtuoso in the Totentanz by Liszt.” Claude Gingras, La Presse, October 30, 2006 Blessed with precocious, almost innate talent, renowned pianist Anne-Marie Dubois gave her first recital at the tender age of five. A nine-time laureate of the Canadian Music Competition, she took home the First Prize at the International Stepping Stone competition in 1984. The same year, she came in first at the international Leschetizky Debut Competition, in New York. Dubois was also one of the two guest soloists who toured China with the Orchestre de la francophonie canadienne (the greatest tour of China ever undertaken by a North American orchestra), performing before more than eight million people. She is frequently featured as a soloist with many other famous orchestras, including the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, and the Extremadura Symphony Orchestra, in Spain. In addition, the virtuosic pianist has three albums to her credit and has given over 500 concerts in eight different countries, appearing in New York, Paris, Beijing, and numerous other major cities. Though Anne-Marie Dubois’ pianistic qualities are undeniable, her uniqueness truly lies in the profound spirituality that naturally emanates from her music and produces a strong, emotional response in those who hear it. Journalist Paul Ingram from Fanfare magazine even ventured that the pianist’s performances should “convince anyone that there just has to be a better world, somewhere.” May you have the joy of discovering it... ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Spiritual concerts Three spiritual concerts, three blessed moments of musical meditation. Deeply committed to her faith, pianist Anne-Marie Dubois transcends trends and offers three spiritual concerts, each one replete with great magnificence and piety. Redemption is a musical homage to the Passion of Christ, while Francis of Assisi, patron of the birds is a recital inspired by the patron saint, with a display showing live images of the pianist, and more... Last but not least, Noel features Christmas canticles, pieces inspired by French and Russian folklore as well as original works by the great classical composers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
