Récompensée par de nombreux prix, la pièce « Le Cadeau de Jake » relate l’histoire d’un vétéran canadien de la Deuxième Guerre mondiale hésitant à retourner en Normandie pour le 60e anniversaire du Jour J. Alors qu’il erre le long de Juno Beach, il rencontre Isabelle, enfant précoce du village voisin, dont la nature curieuse et le charme conduisent le vieux soldat à affronter ses fantômes, particulièrement la mort au front de son frère ainé, Chester, un jeune musicien plein de promesses. Pièce à l’humour surprenante, « Le Cadeau de Jake » donne vie à l’héritage du souvenir en nous faisant partager l’histoire cachée derrière la tombe d’un soldat.​​
